LOST Revisited: Pre-Game for “Sundown”

So not only do we not really know who Jacob is, but it seems like the people who follow his teachings have two different ideas about the nature of his being. You know, they really have a lot to cover in the remaining thirteen episodes.

I’ve been interested for a while in the idea that Jacob can leave the Island, but Smokey can’t. What if Jacob uses the mirrors in the Lighthouse to leave? Maybe that’s how he appears to the Lostaways – just crank the gears and reach into the mirror. That would tie in with the repeated references to Alice in Wonderland, which came up again last week.
