Five episodes left. Only six delicious Lost-y hours to go before the end. Hard to believe, isn’t it? Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse have said in the past that some of the most brutal moments come in the last five episodes, so now is a good time to start worrying about your favorites. Except for us Locke fans, who started worrying at the end of Season Two and never really stopped. Heck, a second Locke just reinvigorated our worrying.

And that does not sound like something Smokey would say. It sets up something that Desmond should strive for, and indicates a possibility that at some point he will be ready to start looking behind the curtain.
