LOST Revisited: Season 6, Episode 3 – “What Kate Did”

Sayid returns to his friends, but he’s pretty shaken up. Jack’s sense of righteous indignation gets all riled up, and he goes off to yell at Dogen. For his part, Dogen’s mashing something up with a pestle. He explains to Jack that Sayid is “infected”. You know when we’ve heard of people being infected before? That’s how Rousseau described the rest of her team. Let’s keep this in mind. He gives Jack a pill for Sayid – it’s a pill that Sayid has to take willingly. And that torture? That was diagnostic. Considering that on House last night, Dr. House wanted to give somebody malaria for diagnostic purposes, I’m willing to accept that explanation.
