By the way, this episode’s title, “What Kate Does” is a callback to Season Two’s “What Kate Did”. That’s the episode in which we learned exactly why Kate is a fugitive.

Already this season, we’ve seen several recreations of past episodes, like Flight 815, Kate tending to Sawyer’s wounds, another scene that’s coming up this week, and a few instances of replicated dialogue. The idea that events repeat themselves has always been a key theme of Lost, and this season it’s becoming more explicit. It makes perfect sense to reference the title of a past episode at this point.
