Our next new character, Miles Strom, used to be Uncle Junior’s asylum buddy on the final season of The Sopranos. He is also the fifth Oz cast member to show up on Lost. And apparently, Miles talks to ghosts. According to Sean and Sam, who are quite proficient in paranormal lore, Miles’ device probably did something with electromagnetism to make the spirit more accessible. Ghosts are supposed to manipulate electromagnetic fields, I guess. If I’m wrong about that, I’m sure they’ll tell me. Man, electromagnetism again. I thought it was nothing but a prop, since he seemed to communicate with Naomi just fine without it. People are more comfortable with a guy who needs a Dustbuster to talk to the dead than a guy who just does it.
