I was genuinely surprised to see that Rose didn’t take Locke’s side. After all, she’s only healthy for as long as she remains on the island. Sure, Locke probably lost some votes when he started putting knives in people who had telephones and boats, but the man has his reasons. It was nice to see Kate and Sawyer choose separate sides – for story purposes, the writers like to keep them together, but it feels like they both stayed consistent to their respective characters here. Sawyer’s never thought much of Jack’s leadership, after all. I didn’t notice which side Sun and Jin went with, but I think they stayed with Jack. That would make sense, what with Sun needing to get off the island before that baby comes.
