Back on the island, Hurley stumbles on Jacob’s cabin. Note that Jacob is now clearly visible, and Locke is in there with him. I’m starting to think Benry is the only person who can’t see Jacob. Based on Locke’s later actions in the episode, it would seem that he’s consulting directly with Jacob. This, of course, does not make him seem less crazy in the eyes of Jack and friends. That’s why Locke never explains himself. It’s much easier to try and sell somebody on a crazy theory if you don’t tell them that an invisible hermit is the one who’s giving the orders.
