Parenthood–This season finale made us laugh and cry, often at the same time. Turned out Amber not only survived the accident, but save for a few small injuries, she’ll be just fine. Regardless, the opening scenes at the hospital were
tough to watch and beautifully acted. Lauren Graham really deserves some Emmy love. And we don’t usually think too much about Craig T. Nelson, partly because he’s just so solid, but his speech to Amber in the impound lot was amazing. And props to the writers for managing to work in direct references to the source material, the 1989 movie of the same name. Max lost his retainer and Adam was determined to find it rather than buy a new one (in the movie, Steve Martin’s son was in a panic; this time, it was basically the other way around). Instead, what he found was a positive pregnancy test that turned out to be Kristina’s. We’re pretty confident this one will be back, but we’ll use our tiny little soap box to please with NBC one last time. Renew Parenthood!!!
