Modern Family--If you checked out our Facebook pages, you would know we’ve been spouting quotable quotes from this one all day. Cam and Mitchell were trying to decide who they should name as Lily’s guardians, and this went as well as you would think. They caught the Dunphys on a chaotic morning that terrified them. They got a more sedate scene at the Pritchett home, and Gloria was way too excited at the prospect of them going down in a fiery plane crash. There was also a mix up involving her pronunciation of the word “earrings”. In the meantime, Jay had a touching moment with Manny, who shared with his stepdad the reason he fears going on a camping trip, admitting he’s at his goal weight, but has yet to reach his “goal height.” And Claire took Luke to a psychologist, which Phil took as, rightfully so, as a bit of an insult. Their scene in the parking lot was perfect, with Phil pretending to be a complete dolt, and both of them so caught up in their argument that they forget Luke. (The resourceful kid found a ride home with a couple of newlyweds leaving their wedding reception.) A bonus “C” plot had Haley and Alex bonding over minor school vandalism, and we really like seeing these two get along once in a while. Super bonus? We think baby Lily might actually have smiled at the end, right after Gloria said, “Lily, when something horrible happens, you’re going to be all mine!”
