Peggy continues to be pulled into church activities by Father Gil, this time to design a flier for a church dance. The best line of the episode had to be when she was defending her slogan for the event, “A Night to Remember”, to some committee members by saying it held the promise of “the kind of hand holding that leads to marriage.” The Father’s main motivation seems to be to get close enough to Peggy that she will confide in him about her son and let the burden of that secret go. Despite the obvious tension here, I keep trying to tell myself that he only wants to help her. I’m not sure that’s the case, but I can’t quite peg him yet.
