Myndi – Wow. Can you believe that episode even happened?! We found out that Roger once got dumped, Joan broke a vase over her husband’s weaselly head and Betty finally confronted Don in a way few could have imagined.
The few moments of levity were provided by Roger’s storyline, in which we met his old flame (and former SC client), Annabelle. She was essentially a giant metaphor in a pillbox hat. Her dog food company, Caldecott Farms, had been irreparably damaged by some bad press about the product being made from horse meat. And, even though it scored in blind taste tests, consumers blanched at the name. Don, who knows from new names and branding on many levels, told her there was no way around changing the name if she wanted the company to survive. If only he had any idea what awaited him at home (more on that in a bit).
