Mad Men

Mad Men Round Table: Season 3, “The Gypsy and the Hobo”

Did Don think banishing his half-brother from his life forever was going to make everything right? Did he think the fact his half-brother hung himself fixed everything? Did Don believe that taking another man’s identity, forging a bond with that man’s wife, and then divorcing her – did he think that would fix everything. That he could just move on? Did Betty think locking the box back in the drawer and carrying on as usual would fix things? Did Joan think she could just leave Roger Sterling, and her feelings would stay locked in a drawer at Sterling-Cooper? Did Roger Sterling think his true feelings for Joan would go away and stay in the past? Did Caldecott Farms dog-food heir, Annabelle, think she could just turn back the clock to a time long ago and pick up where she left off with the love of her life – a love she denied some 20 years earlier?
