Mad Men Round Table: Season 3, “The Gypsy and the Hobo”

Thinking he and Suzanne had a free week to play house (sort of), Don planned to whisk her away to Connecticut.  Suzanne is adept at reading people, telling Don that no matter what becomes of their affair, she can tell he just isn’t a happy man.  Understatement of the year right there.

I wonder what Don left in the house that had him making a quick stop there before heading to Norwich.  A man who keeps a draw full of pressed shirts in his office didn’t already have a packed bag in the car, ready to go?  Whatever it was, it was a game changer.  Betty left the lights off; all the better to stun her husband by actually being home when he didn’t expect her, a trick he’s usually more known for executing.
