Then there’s Dr. Faye Miller – Don walked out on her presentation because he didn’t want to take the test. He doesn’t want anybody to analyze him. When somebody figures out who he is, they leave. Betty has affirmed his lifetime of secrecy – he is right to hide everything that’s true about himself and only let people know his carefully constructed persona. His little showdown with Faye at the Christmas party, where she gets a little too close to the truth just by knowing his “type” pretty much ruins the night for him and sets him on the horrible path that is to follow.
