Mad Men

Mad Men Roundtable, Season 3, Episode 10 (Oct 22)

Things, more often than not, don’t turn out as we plan. And on Mad Men, nothing is going according to plan suddenly. Lane Pryce is punched in the gut when he realizes the whole point of his being there in Manhattan was to make the company more profitable so it could be sold again. Lane’s wife thought the plan to live in Manhattan was only temporary, but that changed and she misses England terribly (thank goodness Lane never had to hit her with “we’re moving to India”). Betty’s plan for an affair wasn’t as satisfying as she had fantasized. Roger reminisces about finding Don in a fur factory while attending night school, and he had hoped for more loyalty. Joan had plans to marry a doctor and have babies. Pete Campbell had plans to be the head of accounts.
