Mad Men Roundtable: “The Suitcase”

One more time, Peggy is at the elevator, ready to leave, but she’s pulled back to her office, where she sleeps until Stan uses a whistle to wake her up.  She’s a mess but Don is “spruced up.”  Not his first rodeo.  He’s seen the iconic shot of Muhammad Ali over Sonny Liston’s prone body, and already developed a Samsonite spot.  As they look over the artwork together and agree it’s a winner, Don clasps Peggy’s hand tightly and they share a look filled with respect, understanding and friendship.

I can’t imagine where we’re going next week, because the previews make no sense.  But did anyone else feel Joan having kind of a “moment” with Joey when she asked them to clean up the office and he refused?  Is it just me, or is it possible there’s something there?
