Ron also had a cute story where a little girl, at City Hall on a field trip, ended up interviewing him for her paper on “Why government’s important”. Ron told the camera, “It’s never too early to learn that the government is a greedy piglet that suckles on a tax payer’s teet until they have sore, chapped nipples. I’m going to need a different metaphor to give this 9 year old.” The girl was charming and Ron was great with her. In the end, he got to keep her original paper that answered the question with, “It’s Not”, and her mother returned the landmine he’d given her to protect her property. That Ron Swanson would be one heck of a dad.
