Justified – “I’m not gonna pull the trigger, but I’ll sleep like a baby knowing he did.” Season Two ended with a bloody showdown between Marshall Raylan Givens and the murderous Bennett family. Weed-dealing matriarch Mags held things together as much as she could, but as the season progressed, things got out of hand and their uneasy peace went out the window. The finale was packed full of awesome character moments, like the split between Raylan and Winona (after Raylan risked everything to bail her out of a jam a few weeks back) and Dickie’s obvious glee at getting the upper hand on Raylan. Remember how twitchy and loveable Jeremy Davies was on LOST as Faraday? There was no trace of our favorite physicist when he tortured a hogtied Raylan with a baseball bat. Boyd Crowder helped save the day, and we’re still stunned at how emotionally invested we are in a guy who, in his first scene on the show, blew up an African-American church with a bazooka. And the closing scenes with Raylan, Mags, and Loretta (the young girl Raylan rescued in the season premiere) were as tense as anything we’ve seen all year. Justified had an absolutely amazing second season, and we can’t wait to see what next year brings to Harlan County.
