30 Rock – Another great episode. As much as we loved Liz’s descent into spinsterhood, the Agatha Christie tribute, and Jack’s attempts to negotiate with baby Liddy’s night nurse, there’s on thing we really have to single out. Pete and Frank formed a band (Soundmound), which is funny enough on its own. However, a flashback revealed the shocking fact that Pete Hornberger used to be a member of Loverboy. That’s tough to beat.
Mr. Sunshine–We’re enjoying Matthew Perry, Allison Janney, James Lesure and Andrea Anders in this workplace sitcom, and didn’t even mind this week’s guest star, Nick Jonas. He was playing a teen pop star who wasn’t named Nick Jonas, and who was a giant tool, making obnoxious requests (Brothers & Sisters DVDs, groupie phone numbers, foods he doesn’t actually like) and comparing Ben to Larry King. For his part, Ben was completely offended at the ageism: ”Larry King is so old, he had to retire from sitting in a chair”. Elsewhere, Crystal was trying to bribe her estranged son Roman with a golf cart, which she gave to him after staging a fake competition among her employees. We can’t figure out this weird relationship just yet.
