Terriers – We haven’t mentioned this FX show here before, but that’s largely an issue of scheduling. See, it airs late on Wednesday, and we write Moments of Joy on Thursday, which is a jam-packed night of television. So we usually don’t get to watch Terriers until the weekend. Still, this really is one of the best shows of the season. What began as a mostly light-hearted story of a couple of lowlife private detectives has escalated into a sprawling conspiracy and the guys who can’t even measure how far over their heads they are. This week, Hank and Britt unraveled the Ocean Beach land grab, which really only means that now they know why very powerful people want them out of the picture. The tragic ending set the stage for next week’s finale, which is sure to be rough. And we’re going to call it right now and say that Donal Logue is getting an Emmy nomination next year. Who would have guessed that the guy who started out doing MTV promos and then languished on Grounded for Life would turn into one of TV’s best actors?
