Dancing with the Stars – Yeah, there was some uncomfortable weirdness this year. But you know what? These guys know how to do a season finale. Yes, the format this season virtually required some lengthy fillers while the couples prepared their final dance, but at least they kept it entertaining. Instead of just bringing out the eliminated couples for a few seconds of dancing each, they set up themed performances. The best was Rick Fox and Kurt Warner in an athlete’s dance-off – it was fun, surprisingly complicated number. And it revealed that Judge Bruno can’t catch a pass to save his life. And we ended up seeing David Hasselhoff running shirtless in slow-motion (shudder) and then singing the Baywatch theme on live TV, but that was the kind of crazy “Hey, this is actually happening on TV!” thing that just adds to the fun. It’s been eleven seasons, and they still make every finale seem like an event.
