The Best Shows on TV

TV’s Moments of Joy: Residual Pixie Dust

Community-There were two separate stories this week, and both were sly fun.  The girls all decided to take a Womens’ Studies class, and Abed joined them.  It all turned into a revenge fantasy for Britta, Shirley and Annie when Hillary Duff and her minions went all Mean Girls, and it turned out Abed’s inability to filter himself was their secret weapon.  I flashed back to a college roommate who was so tall, slim and pretty that the only thing we could find to pick on her about was her giant forehead.  You see, it’s true that all women are bitches.  Some of us just hide it better.  The other story featured Troy and Jeff (who spent a nice amount of time in a tight-fitting tank top.  Thank You!) stumbling onto a secret trampoline and secretive gardener.  The sequence where Jeff and Troy jumped for the first time was great (“at the apex of each jump is a perfect moment”), and had the random side effect of making me think of The Man Show, but with more man-candy.  Donald Glover and Joel McHale played the whole Zen thing perfectly.  And it was all clicking until Pierce discovered their secret and got the groundskeeper fired.  Then again, he was a racist, so it was for the best.  And  we can’t forget Senor Chang, who came up with more ways to say “Oh, snap” than we ever thought possible.
