Running Wilde – We’re always happy when FOX remembers to run an episode of Will Arnett’s show. This week’s episode was a lot of fun, with Steve and Emmy both trying to prove points to one another in the most circuitous way possible. Our favorite bit came when Steve needed a fake doctor, so first he looked to actors who were famous for playing doctors, including spunky-favorites like Hugh Laurie and Matthew Fox (who was, we’re told, “Lost in Oregon”). Finally, he ended up hiring Maulik Pancholy, who we know as Jonathan on 30 Rock. Aside from Emmy, nobody actually knew what 30 Rock was, and kept confusing it with 3rd Rock from the Sun, and Maulik was irritated at having to play such a poorly-conceived role. Toss in a last second appearance from Fa’ad who somehow thought a wig and mustache would fool everybody, and it was another very funny episode.
