The Best Shows on TV

TV’s Moments of Joy – The Best TV Shows on TV

Charlie Sheen’s bitchin’ life aside (he planned it that way, you know), we’re ready to take a look at the best TV shows we saw this week.  Sure, this week left us without some of our regular favorites like Parks and Recreation, Community, or Bob’s Burgers, but there were still plenty of TV shows to watch.   And we’ve got videos for you, too.  It’s a multi-media presentation!

An Idiot Abroad – This week, Karl Pilkington went to Brazil to see Christ the Redeemer.  But since Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant love it when Karl’s uncomfortable, they also sent him to Brazil’s most popular gay beach.  And while the bit where he complained about the proportions of Christ’s chin, the funniest line of the week was Karl explaining why he didn’t want to go out and meet new people.  “You only need seven mates in life.  Snow White with her midgets had it sorted out in one go.”  Though “It was a chicken.  At two in the morning!  What is a chicken doing awake at this hour?” was another side-splitter.  A travel show shouldn’t be this funny, but every week, Karl’s often misguided observations have us laughing out loud.
