Modern Family – The whole family was great this week, as everybody raced to Manny’s birthday party. Well, except for Manny, since he was in the midst of a mid-life crisis. Claire and Phil competed for the fastest route to the restaurant, Mitchell and Cam inadvertently helped out an elderly adulterer, and Gloria had access to a firearm. We especially loved Phil’s obsession with Family Camp. After heading the White team last year, he entirely missed the point when he had shirts printed up that said “If You Ain’t White, You Ain’t Right” and trash-talked his wife by talking about White Domination. Oh, and there was Mitchell’s carefully-rehearsed Flash Mob. It was awesome, and we sort of wish this show was on every night. The best scene overall had to be the one that took place in Phil’s car, AKA “The Cone of Trust”. It was hilarious and sentimental all at once. Gloria’s lost keys plot had us looking in the mirror…a little painful, quite frankly.
