TV’s Moments of Joy: The Cone of Trust

Huckabee – To be honest, we didn’t know that Governor Huckabee had his own show on FOX News.  We’ve had a soft spot for the guy ever since he helped kick off the famous fistfight between Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and Conan O’Brien during the Writer’s Strike.  And now we like him even better because he had spunkybuddy Mahsa on his show to discuss The Apprentice.

As you remember, Mahsa was fired for some pretty specious reasons.  There’s no need to go into it here again, because it makes us sad.  As we’ve seen on Facebook and her YouTube video, Mahsa isn’t taking this lying down.  Her interview with the Governor was really interesting – she revealed that the actual Boardroom took hours, and that Trump knew (“for production reasons”) that the claims about her weren’t true before he fired her.  This is really interesting, since we don’t get to look behind the reality show curtain all that often.  And if you’ve read our Celebrity Apprentice recaps, you know that we’re fascinated and appalled by Donald Trump in equal measures.  Well, Mahsa has some great insight into Trump, including a line that might be on our masthead for the next season of recaps – “(After meeting him) I don’t have that same level of respect, to put it kindly.”
