The Office – Last season was not the show’s finest hour, we’ll admit. That’s not to say that it was bad, it just didn’t consistently hit the heights of which it’s capable. There were still some moments of glory, with the fantastically excruciating “Scott’s Tots” being a notable example. Sadly, this is going to be Steve Carell’s last season. We’re going to miss Michael Scott, but we can’t wait to see what they have planned for his exit. The creative team has said they have some Michael stories that they’ve been sitting on, but now they can pull out all the stops. We want to see what depths he can hit, but we’re really hoping that whatever pulls him away from Dunder-Mifflin makes him happy. (Holly?) Steve Carell’s been one of the funniest guys on TV for years, and we’re hoping for great things from his final round. By the way, we’ve heard a lot of the speculation about the new boss, and we’re totally pulling for Rhys Darby. Team Murray! (Season Premiere September 23, NBC)
