–Bud Manstrong appears again in Season Two, and he’s later revealed to have been a member of the Team Venture Boys Brigade. He is literally the only member who has not played an important role in the series so far, so I tend to think there’s more coming from him. (Also, I would bet money that Ben Edlund named this character – I know there was some minor Tick character with the last name of ‘Manstrong’.) This scene lays out a couple of important things about the series. Namely, that Jonas Venture was a great scientist, and Doc is riding on his coattails. Boom. Central theme of the first season is pretty much laid out for us here.
