Mandalay offers Brock a cigarette. Inside the meeting, Li-Li stuffs Doc in a sack. Dean and Hank start fighting in the X-1, and the guys from the fake hippo climb in. Brock tries to save Doc, but Mandalay’s cigarette was drugged – he passes out. The orange guys knock Hank and Dean out with oranges. Doc wakes up in a giant mechanical honeycomb, flanked by henchmen dressed like bees.
–I haven’t mentioned it yet, but Brisby’s famous cartoon character is Bizzy Bee – that’s the reason for the bee-themed headquarters and henchmen. In retrospect, it seems a little Monarch-esque. Two villains on the show so far, and they both use the imagery of orange and black insects. Though I think in this case, it’s more to create a Disney feel without being actionable. Bees and mice aren’t anything alike after all, but both theme parks sell distinctive head gear patterned after their mascot.
