Dean and Hank wake up in the gymnasium at the Orange County Community College, held hostage by the Orange County Liberation Front. They want to free Orange County from the Brisby’s grasp. In the Brisby Dome, Brisby shares his plans for a perfect society, but Doc still refuses to clone him. Mandalay drugs Doc.
–This is the first actual appearance of Molotov in the (well-displayed) flesh. The scene where she pulls Brock from the tar pit might be a Sin City reference, but I don’t have a copy handy to check. I’m not sure if the OCLF is supposed to be a specific reference to, or parody of, something – if so, I can’t place it. I really like the idea that they’re suburbanites who are only freedom fighters in their spare time, though it seems more like something from The Tick. Which is not a bad thing, you understand. And man, it’s hard not to see EPCOT when you look at the Brisby Dome.
