Dean returns home after a long day, only to find Doc roller skating all over the apartment. He thinks if his musical has more of a Starlight Express feel, he’ll bring in the foreign investors, and Dean’s getting more and more frustrated. At Impossible Industries, the villains find a copy of Doc’s script, and they think it’s hilarious. Doc works out one of the songs on a keyboard while Dean sulks on the fire escape. Brown Widow swings by and asks if Dean is OK. (He thinks Doc might be Dean’s pimp.) Dean and the Widow hang out on the fire escape for a bit, and Dean explains that he doesn’t want to be a super-scientist anymore, and that he’d rather be a boy reporter. Brown Widow finally gets drawn in by Doc’s song, and crawls inside the apartment to sing a duet with Doc. Doc announces that he’s found his Rusty.
