Venture Brothers Dossier – Assisted Suicide – Venture Bro

–As for 21’s speech – obviously his best friend is 24, who he saw die.  I don’t think the giant penny bit was actually in the show, but the “guy dressed like a rainbow” has to be Captain Sunshine.  And since Batman had a giant penny in the Cave, you just know Captain Sunshine had one, too.  The Donkey Kong kill screen is what you get when achieving a certain score on the arcade game – the screen freezes up and the game ends.  (Watch King of Kong sometime – it’s an excellent documentary about obsession and 80’s video games.)  And the “attack ships on fire” part comes straight from Roy Baty’s final words in Blade Runner.
