Venture Brothers Dossier – Assisted Suicide – Venture Bro

–There are a lot of good character bits here – Shore Leave mocking Dean, Hatred’s jealousy toward Brock, Hank’s hero worship.  And Shore Leave references Harry Potter when he calls Orpheus “Professor Snape”.  This is the first time we’ve seen Brock’s car since it tried to kill him in “The Family that Slays Together Stays Together” at the end of Season Three.  Back then, Brock had to tear it apart to save himself, but it looks like he put the old girl back together.  He loves that car.  On another Brock note, I just noticed his tattoo is still not finished – in Season Two’s “Showdown at Cremation Creek”, he was getting Icarus tattooed on his shoulder, but was attacked midway through.  He never did get those wings put on.  By the way, the shirts that the team is wearing are old Rusty Venture shirts – this is actually kind of important, because we’ll see soon that the episode hinges on Doc’s self-perception, and the first image we see of him this week is the idealized version.  (By the way, there’s an ongoing debate as to whether the Rusty Venture show was animated or live action.  It used to be inconsistent, but ever since Season Two, it’s been exclusively referred to as a cartoon.  Some people hold onto the idea that it was live action, because there used to be a fan theory that the kid who played Rusty grew up to be the Monarch.)
