Venture Brothers Dossier – Assisted Suicide – Venture Bro

–This is complicated, so instead of playing along, I’m going to look at these scenes with the full knowledge of how the episode plays out.  The Monarch (he’s back!) has projected his essence into Doc’s brain.  The control room is just a literalization of Doc’s motor functions.  Basically, the Monarch managed to get into Doc’s head, and he’s trying to make him kill himself.  This clearly leaves Monarch’s physical body weakened and vulnerable.

–Nice pop culture references here.  Orpheus compares their vomit preparation to “a Gallagher 2 concert”.  That’s funny on its own, but the fact that he specifically uses Gallagher 2 (Gallagher’s brother who toured using the same material) as the reference just makes it brilliant.  Also, 21 compares Monarch to “a pissed off Billy Mahoney”, who was a character in Flatliners.  And the control room absolutely looks like the Swan Station on Lost.  Which makes me so happy.
