This week’s episode revolved around the limited amount of flu shots available to the cast & crew of “The Girlie Show” (the show within the show) and Alec Baldwin’s Jack dating his mother’s nurse, Elisa, played by Salma Hayek.
The Most Awesome Thing We Saw This Week (January 13-19)
Liz is looking forward to her annual vacation to St. Bartleby’s (featuring dark colored “beach socks” and drinks brought to her by turtles, not to mention the prospect of an island lover!) and is trying to avoid a rash of the flu that is sweeping through the building. Jack offers her one of the last few flu shots being given out by Dr. Spaceman (pronounced Spa-che-man) and she nobly declines once it appears her hotel is overbooked. She’s thrilled to be liked by the crew, until her vacation is suddenly back on and she secretly gets the shot. Liz watching everyone get sicker and basically look like extras from Night of the Living Dead is great…especially watching Kenneth deteriorate over the course of the episode.
