The Most Awesome Things We Saw Last Week (Sept 20-26)
Kevin – It’s not the obvious choice of The Office, which has in my mind been declining in quality since season 2, but somehow made me laugh quite a few times last night. No, while that was a good episode it was not the most awesome thing I saw this week. So what was? How about Brett Favre throwing two (should have been four) interceptions? Yeah. That was it. The best thing about the NFL — T.O. — didn’t do much this week, so I had to look elsewhere for my awesome moment. And seeing Brett Favre have that bad of a game might even trump most of what T.O. could do, to be honest. Missed passes weren’t just an inch or two off. Some were five yards behind, in front of, over the head of his receivers. So everyone who thinks Brett Favre is the savior, the god of football, take a look at Monday night’s pathetic performance. He creates all this drama about retiring, wanting to come back, leaving Green Bay because he’s a little bitch and doesn’t get to start. Look at him now. Man, that game was awesome. The Jets got trampled and Brett Favre embarrassed himself. Should have retired a few years ago and STAYED retired. (editor’s note: yesterday was a fluke!)
