Noon-3:30 – CHARGERS AT COLTS – All year I rooted against the Chargers because they fired Marty Schottenheimer. Well, waddya know? It was the right move. No matter what the Colts do this year, even as defending Super Bowl champs, they just can’t get the headlines.
8-9 THE AMAZING RACE – You know, I write this schedule on Sunday, before the new episode airs. Thus, I’m always a week behind in my references. I still think it needs to be said that if you’re going to use the U-Turn, USE IT ON THE TEAM BEHIND YOU!It doesn’t work if you use it on a team ahead of you!
8-11 GOLDEN GLOBE AWARD – Another awards show.No writers, picketers, no stars. Also, they didn’t nominate The Office in the Best Comedy category, so their legitimacy is questionable at best.
4:30-8 GIANTS AT COWBOYS – Will Jessica Simpson be in the stands? Will Fox mention how poorly Tony Romo plays when his Hollywood-bombshell girlfriends are in the Cowboys’s suite? The over-under on that is 7-times. Storyline you’ll hear ad nauseum? The Giants are 7-1 on the road, this year. And the Cowboys limped into the playoffs.
8-9 TERMINATOR:THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES – Series Premiere! Is there really a point? It’s not like the “Terminator” franchise has such a rich mythology, especially since the point of the movies is that they prevented that future. On the other hand, there are explosions. They’ve got that going for them, at least.
9-10 THE WIRE – McNulty takes matters into his own hands.Presumably ‘matters’ means ‘a metric ton of Guinness’.Also, Marlo strikes a deal with Barksdale.Wait, what?Avon Barksdale is back?OK, I didn’t see that one coming. You guys, start watching this so I have somebody to call at 10:01!
See you next week,
Stanfield DarkPlace
