Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff (25/30)–Ralph spent most of the week in exam rooms, MRI machines and writhing in pain. He ruptured something called a Baker’s cyst, but was given the all-clear to continue to practice. Then, he re-injured it again Saturday, only worse. Now, part of it could be because Ralph was in agony, but their Viennese Waltz was the Angriest. Waltz. Ever. Len liked his moves in hold and his posture, saying it lacked polish. Bruno likened them to Vampire Lovers. Carrie Ann invoked the name of Daniel LaRusso in her critique, and I’m still praying Ralph makes it to the freestyle, and we somehow get a routine set to “You’re the Best”
