The story builds slowly at first (maybe a bit too slowly), as we head toward what we know will be the climactic concert in White City, infamous for the fact that a 14 year old girl died after being caught in the crushing throng of teens trying to get closer to their dream guy. At the same time, Petra and Sharon agonize over completing the Ultimate David Cassidy Quiz, using their backlog of mags and records for research, and hoping to win a trip to the set of The Partridge Family in Los Angeles. Their friendship survives the 1970s version of Mean Girls, and though they’ve drifted somewhat, the women are still in touch when the story resumes in 1998.
