30 Rock was very good this week, but again I have to stay firmly in my comfort zone and cite a SNL bit as my most awesome thing. As the new year unfolds, I think I’ll be branching out a bit more, but this Will Forte song really made me laugh out loud. I don’t always love every single thing Will Forte does, especially in terms of his wacky songs. Sometimes he borders on Sandler-ish, which is risky. This week, however, was a home run. Forte explained that he loves the Bowl Championship Series, which of course no one really does. He also explained that this was important, because he only loves things that are awesome! Shout-out? He prefaces the song by saying it combines all the things he loves about sports: “Computers, ballots, and lobbying.” The first line of the song, “I love stepping in dog crap, and I love when children get sick. I love paper cuts on my corneas and I love the BCS.” Any song that can also tell the BCS to “S my D” is also awesome, wouldn’t you say?
