—Know your venues. There are three main venues with four screens. Venue 1 is at the Saugatuck Yacht Service. It’s basically a big boathouse with a projector. It’s the largest venue, and the one that hosts the most popular movies. This is the venue where you need to arrive early – there’s going to be a line. Also, you’ll want to get your tickets for the shows at Venue 1 ahead of time – it has the most seats, but it’s the busiest.
The Saugatuck Center for the Arts hosts Venue 2. I love this venue – it’s the most like a regular movie theater, and it’s air-conditioned. They do a fine job of keeping the venues as comfortable as possible, but as a guy with summer allergies, an air conditioned venue is a gift from the heavens. It’s beautiful.
