We at spunkybean agree on many things in pop culture (and agree to disagree on lots more), but there’s probably nothing we love more unconditionally than The Amazing Race! The new starts Sunday, and we wanted to give you our thoughts on the new crop of contestants. We also have to be honest and let you know that at least two out of three of us are completely biased toward one team already…

Myn: Oh good, dating models. That’s original. But wait, this chick looks familiar! Yes, “Caite” is Caitlin Upton, the former Miss Teen USA who is infamous for her bumbling pageant answer ( “I believe that our, uh, education like such as, uh, South Africa and, uh, the Iraq and everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uh, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S….”) and apparently likes to date pretty, vaguely effeminate looking guys. Then again, his profile says he’d rather “give than receive” so maybe she’s smarter than she seems? I don’t know. Bottom line, if she didn’t have her noteriety, they would be the human equivalent of a rice cake.
