After another break, we see Jen actively campaigning against Ryan with Sheila. Jen says he is a racist. She then goes on to say that she dated a black guy and it “makes him sick”. Nice. Sheila, ever the instigator, tells Ryan that Jen’s been sayin’ stuff. She sort of teases him with the scoop, but he gets her spill (I’m guessing she planned to all along, just wanted him to beg a little). He’s shocked, and confronts Jen, (inexplicably accompanied by Adam, who’s reminding me of Lenny in Of Mice and Men). Eventually she fesses up…sort of. Jen tells Ryan that she told Sheila he had “race issues”. Oh well, yeah, that’s different. She also tells Sheila and Allison that he’s got “plenty of black friends back home.” Oh boy. Allison thinks Jen gets off on lying. Ryan: “You’re a pretty bad person, Jen.” There’s an incredibly uncomfortable sequence where it looks like Ryan might grow a set and dump the little conniver, but in the end, he relents. Does she not realize the videotape can be shown at any time, and he will find out what she actually said? My guess is that she’s actually convinced herself she didn’t say it, or she feels she can use her hoo-hah like a tractor beam and pull him in whenever she wants.
