When Richard doesn’t believe at first, Hurley assures her “Sometimes it takes people a while”, which is what Jacob said to him about Jack. You know, Hurley would make a really good Jacob. This scene is just beautiful, with Richard finally gaining some measure of peace. As Isabella leaves, he puts the crucifix around his neck.
