LOST Revisited: Pre-Game for “The Variable”

Jin is playing golf against Michael and Hurley.. Jin misses a putt and Michael wins. Hurley tells Jin “You’ll get him next time, dude”, and Jin proceeds to freak out. He yells (in Korean) at the ball, at the ball and at his friends. (“How can I lose to both Michael and Hurley?”) He is frustrated that nobody understands him, and he repeats “Why? Why can’t I be happy?” In tears, he yells at the ball, and then starts tearing at the handcuff that’s still on his left wrist. Hurley suggests a break from golf, as Jin sits down and cries.
