LOST Revisited: Pre-Game for “The Lighthouse”

It was the Island – the Island has its own consciousness, but rather than falling into the “light vs. dark” war, it acts out of self-preservation. Christian encouraged Locke to leave the Island, not to bring back the candidates or to team up with Widmore, but because his sacrifice ended the Island’s hopping through time. If the Island imposes the rules, the Island wants balance. If Jacob or Silas gets the upper hand, it has to right things again. (I’ll come back to this later.)
