LOST Revisited: Pre-Game for “The Lighthouse”

Speaking of changes, this didn’t come up directly in the Kate X episode, but there’s some more background on her. At the Lost panel at Comic-Con, Damon and Carlton showed some videos – there was the ad where Oceanic Air brags about their perfect safety record, and Hurley’s ad for Mr. Cluck’s. We know now that these were artifacts from Timeline X. Well, there was another video – an America’s Most Wanted segment about Kate. It detailed her attempt to blow up her father. Only in this Timeline, he survived while an innocent plumber died in the blast instead. It’s interesting that both she and Locke have major changes to their personal histories, but still find themselves in roughly the same place. Kate’s a fugitive, Locke is a wheelchair-bound box company drone. I can’t wait until we see the episodes about Jack X and Sawyer X – we only got a little look at them in the premiere, and all we really know is that Jack’s dad is dead and Sawyer will help a pretty girl escape from the police.
