LOST Revisited, Season 5, Episode 4: “The Little Prince” (Feb 5)

Extrapolating this out, and just to go a little crazy, what if Locke and co. jump through time and meet Benry 15 years ago? What if Locke uses the name “Jacob” and points Benry in the right direction? First off, Benry never sees Jacob again after Locke time jumps away. Benry indicated that Jacob no longer spoke to him, that might be why. In addition, when Benry meets Locke in the Hatch, that’s when he realizes that his faith might have been misplaced, and there never really was a Jacob. This could explain Benry’s early hostility, and his gradual softening as he put the pieces together.
