And then there’s Faye, who just compromised her professional ethics for Don. This is clearly not a comfortable situation for her, and it’s certainly not something she’s done before. She’s changed who she is for Don, and she doesn’t even seem to realize that she’s on her way out. If her complete inability to comfort Sally didn’t clinch it, the fact that Don revealed his secrets to her in a desperate moment did. And for somebody who makes her living by reading people and figuring out what they really think regardless of what it is they’re saying, Faye is surprisingly slow to catch on here.
