After Hilton berates Don for a great pitch that lacks his explicitly requested mention of a Hilton located on the shores of the Sea of Tranquility, Don feels defeated, and heads for the only place he can exert control…his extramarital affairs. Though Miss Farrell reminds him that he’s stepping out closer to home than he ever has, Don can’t see the forest for the trees at this point. He’s disappointed his father figure, gotten chewed out by Roger for not handling two of the agency’s largest pieces of business, and had to fire one of his best people. Things are spinning out of control, to say the least.
